eWeek: the Art of Checking Your Laptop as Luggage

Found this interesting.

Opinion: New air travel safety concerns have made it more likely that you'll have to send your laptop as checked luggage.

The threat was terrorism, so it's understandable why passengers on some trans-Atlantic flights suddenly found themselves trying to find a way to stash their electronics, including their laptop computers, iPods, cell phones and BlackBerry devices, into their checked luggage.
Not really, considering laptops weren't a threat.

The article pretty much surmises that without TSA locks, there's no way that they're going to get there in tact or without being pilfered.

The comments people made show they're not happy. Sadly, some of them want to have background checks to avoid problems. Others say they won't fly.

UPS or FedEx seem to be the best option if you have to check your laptop.
