For what it's worth....

It looks like Verizon is going to release their 8703e within the next week. One site is saying it could even be released today, but I have my doubts. Several people have said Monday, August 28th, which is the date I'm banking on.

Word is that this thing is CDMA/EVDO in the US and has the capability to roam in Europe on GSM. Looks alot like the 8700c and is on the 4.1 code/platform. I've seen pictures -- all black, no joystick, has a thumbwheel, no camera. Again, looks alot like the 8700, but with an all-black casing.

Can't wait to get this. Not so much getting this, but to ditch Cingular. I was leery on getting a Treo, I'm glad I waited.
