So I ordered a kosher meal from FRA-<usa> on UA.
When the FA brought my kosher meal, she asked if I really wanted it. I explained the newspaper article to her and she explained that basically, only the tin of prunes were "edible". She claimed that when these meals went unclaimed, the FA's share the prunes as they taste pretty good (yes, I enjoy the taste of prunes, too).
I lost my interest for the kosher meal but since there was a full load of pax, the FA didn't think that any extra meals would be available. So I took the nasty kosher meal in its ~8 aluminum "tins".
Most if the food was GROSS TASTING. Even the prunes were a disappointment.
The FA's frequently walked by to check on my progress!
Fortunately, an extra meal surfaced and I was able to eat a lunch over the North Atlantic.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
