There are plenty of "celebrity stylists" who are charging in excess of $650 for a haircut these days in NYC and Miami, such as Sally Hershberger, Oribe, Orlando Pita, Garren, and Fredric Fekkai. I'm not suggesting that it's worth it, or that the haircut is any better, but they are charging with the market will bear. And if you can pay that much for a haircut, a 20 percent tip doesn't seem out of line.
