If they don't introduce the promo by mid-October I'll book my flights on the cheapest option from there on out until December. I've made 1P already but will probably need the promo for 1K.

I don't see why they wouldn't do it? They get free cash up front and all they give away are SWU's which are capacity controlled anyhow and only encourage people to fly more on UA. From their point of view I can't see any negatives by doing a double EQM promo so I think they'll have it again.
