My view on KLM is that they have managed to turn into a 'discount airline'.
They recent strategy has been to persue 100% occupancy at any cost. The cabins are now rarely less than 80% full, but the service is very poor and KLM seem to accept that as the price you pay for offering heavily discounted fares.
As for the Flying Dutchman, the service has to be one of the worst available. It is as simple as that.
