So that's why qantas.com demanded A$165 or so in "taxes & fees" on my award travel PERth--BrooME--DaRWin--AliceSPrings for March 2007!
Does the 31 August date refer to date of booking or date of flight? If the former, I better buy my tickets this week.
In contrast, an AA award in J: CHC--syd--ADL--PER costs 35K miles & only US$52 in taxes, possibly including the ETA Visa fee.
