I just found this resort on SPG, but have not heard much about it before. Their web site has very little information. It is a category 6 resort near Key West.

Has anyone stayed there? I will be going around Christmas. I believe the water will still be warm so it should be possible to swim in the ocean. It looks like there's some sort of ferry/boat between this resort and the Westin Key West Resort & Marina. Is a car really needed to stay in the area? I've never been in Key West so I'm not sure if a 7 to 9 night stay is too long.

I have the option of flying into Miami or into Key West. It seems like the drive down might be interesting, even at 3+ hours. Is there a bridge or some other way to get from Susnet Key to Key West?
