1. Yes

2. After having had the free Classic card for a couple of months, you apply online for the £60 card. One of 2 things will happen:

a) they give you card with no hassle, along with another 20k miles
b) they turn you down because they do not want to increase your exposure to MBNA. In this case, you ring them and say that you are happy for the credit limit on your first card to be reduced by, say, £10k in return for putting a £10k limit on the second card. MBNA is cool about this because their exposure to you is the same.

LOADS on the BMI board about this - no-one flies them anymore, but we love exploiting the FF scheme!
