I was able to secure a 40,000 mile, DCA-EZE coach award itinerary for an extended Thanksgiving holiday with a terrific schedule and seats.

With fares having come down to $844 all-in, I'm wondering if I should save the miles and just purchase a RT ticket outright.

FT wisdom suggests I should be happy given the scarcity of EZE award seats. But I'm not one to use miles unnecessarily.
