After having experienced the (too) many cancelled and delayed SK interco
flights the latest months, which unfortunately also seems to increase in intensity, one must question whether SK should continue with interco traffic at all?
Bearing in mind the limited resources SK has regarding number of aircrafts avialable (and no money to invest in more aircrafts), and that the interco traffic is still unprofitable in spite of several cost-saving programs and a high cabin factor... The overhead costs and too low productivity are the main problems according to the resigned CEO J. Lindegaard. Also (correct me if I am wrongly informed) a reduced yield per seat due to tough competition should be an other negative factor.
