First, I think you mean Hotwire????

There are a few threads that discussed car rental insurance in detail and it might be worth your time to do a search for them for more detailed information. But, my experience is that Priceline or Hotwire bookings are no different than any other 3rd party booking - if your credit card includes coverage on rental cars, it should cover them on ones rented from PL or HW.

I don't use that particular card, someone else may have more specific info, but it's pretty easy to confirm that you have CDW coverage through your card. You likely have to use that card to pay for the rental to be covered.

Liability insurance is probably a separate matter. In BC, if you qualify for RoadStar coverage, there is coverage for rental vehicles through your ICBC car insurance. I don't know if you currently have car insurance on your own vehicle and what coverage it offers you. I assume you are based in Ontario, maybe someone else can offer more details regarding that....
