My daughter , who is a 2P, flew this same route, just last week. She also requested the upgrades online and confirmed both ways by selecting PAPER. I gave her TWO on these upgrade certs to use, both, with other persons names. From DEN, she used one without a problem, but returning from OAK, the check-in agent would NOT accept it because her name was not on the cert. Fortunately, I was with her at the check-in counter and because of my MM 1K status, the agent allowed her to keep her upgraded seat by taking TWO of my e-500 milers, even though I was NOT flying with her.
