While I really liked this property, (all of the staff, from the front desk to the omelet chef had a great attitude), the layout is not extremely conducive to privacy. The Bedroom is separated from the living room area by french doors with sheer curtains, and the bathroom area is separated from the bedroom only by a "pocket door". This might work for you, but not quite the privacy you hava with say an Embassy Suites layout. Certainly better than Springhill Suites with their little "half-wall" to separate the living room.
And yes, the MARTA is safe, we have travelled with our young neices on it several times, as the earlier poster mentioned, its the area around certain stations you need to be wary of. The station near Underground Atlanta is very busy and you will certainly run across all types there.
