I'm going to be flying in and out of MKE quite a bit for the next few months.
I have a non-FT friend in Milwaukee who says that he used to fly UA/UX from MKE, but the flights were very unreliable - many delays and cancellations. He had at least 2 bad experiences, and now he just drives to ORD instead. It might have been due to weather, who knows, but he claims that many people do the same thing - drive to ORD instead of bothering with the short segment.
Does anyone have similar experiences, and if so, has UX improved recently in/out of MKE? I know those flights used to be operated by Air Wisconsin, now it seems like it is SkyWest ^ and Trans States, which I don't think I've flown on.
I would rather fly into MKE than drive up from ORD, but if there really are issues with these flights, I'm willing to rethink that.
