What I find interesting about the story:

1. This program is not being run by the TSA, but by the local security, so it is different.

2. SPOT is already in place at "at least one" Houston airport according to an unnamed federal official.

What I find ironic:

1. The story made the front page of the Houston Chronicle and just to the left of it (perhaps rather appropriate) is the article about the ruling that secret wiretaps are unconstitutional.
