A few days before last weeks episode BA sent a memo around to many stations saying that as of this week, BA F passengers would be allowed TWO PIECES of carry-on baggage. This was in response to a huge number of complaints, and I also have it on good authority due to the huge amount of passenger unhappiness presented in the press and from certain internet Bulletin Boards. While this may be moot now, it does show that BA is/was already cracking on its "policy" and that the number limit of pieces was a BA policy, and not a BAA policy. Again, this may all mean nothing now, but it does show what comsumer opinion can achieve.
