I'm single and bought there.

I didn't need a "special offer" to get me there - I find the rates very good anyway. So, just go on over there, enjoy your vacation - you will be invited to see the villas, and you will get 20K points for attending (even if single), then 40K points if you purchanse and already own and self-refer.

If you put it on you marriott visa plat card, you get 5 points for every dollar charged. I bought two weeks a few years ago (when it was 3 points/dollar).

That plus the bonuses added up to like 480K points, as remember.
