I'm afraid that meal vouchers, hotel and transport to/from hotel is probably about all you can legally claim from the airline for delays like this.
Check your airlines website to see what rules they have posted. I was able to find some info on EC 261, which would likely apply here, you can find it in
this thread.
You can always try writing a letter to the airline asking for miles or vouchers etc. which they may or may not part with.
