He has a female following, but they aren't really groupies. They tend to put in requests for "Ain't No Big Thing" and sit in the corner of the bar and snicker.... when he sings about being on the "Windward Side of the Island" they all sing back about hiding on the Lee (ward)....
When he sings "Pearly Shells" he makes references to Katyushas or something (huh?), but he really brings the house down when he does "Dov-ly Hula Hands" in a grass skirt complete with his own version of hula.
Kind of a dov-hula. Not to be confused with a Chol-hula, which is a much more refined and elegant dance (and closer to the ground, too....)
