Can someone please clarify for me if non-air partner usage/purchases count towards annual elite status. If I look at points (not miles) difference from one month to next, it appears that they are being calculated in total YTD qualifying points. If this is indeed correct, if I think I am going to be short, can't I just send a lot of gifts from FTD to achieve my point leve to achieve/maintain elite status? And I apologize if this has been answered before or if I didn't search hard enough and will get scolded by some. Thanks to others who are kinder.
