It is early to tell of any changes to come. I would just keep an eye. There is a duty free at LGW upon arrival too. It is just a small selection and mostly perfumes. Also, I can see shops at the airport having sales to try to get arriving passenger to pick up the sales that they are loosing due to current security rules.
