Goodness, I had about a one hour experience booking two business class saver award tickets to Europe. On the new international route I was flying, I had no problem finding seat availability. The problem was the domestic connections to JFK where I ended up with an LAX-Raleigh-Jfk connection to obtain first class which ultimately was rebooked due to a schedule change to an LAX-Raleigh-Boston-JFK red-eye connection at which time I called Delta and they kindly opened up the heavenly LAX-JFK non-stop connection for the international outbound flight and then kindly changed my return (originally-booked Song flight) to a first class return connection from JFK to LAX.

Naturally I was not pleased spending about 90 minutes on the phone with all these original reservations and changes. But then again, I am grateful I could use my AMEX membership rewards miles via my Skymiles account to obtain to European business class tickets. And being Northwest Platinum (not Delta Platinum Medallion), I realized at the outset I could not expect any expedited service in redeeming from my Skymiles base member account. Still, I am extremely satisfied with my international award reservations.
