Isn't it strange how some people are so anti-cellphones (that's mobile phones in English). The whole in-flight airline cellphone debate is fascinating: "people don't want to sit next to someone who's talking into their cellphone" ... I wonder if they'd mind if their neighbours were speaking to each other ?
And because it is a one-way conversation, I either am startled when they start speaking (to no one) or feel the need to listen and answer. Two-way conversations, as long as they aren't too loud, are easier to ignore.
