Because I've never been to AUS or NZL before I'd like to know:

Which side has a better view on a 763 Qantas flight CHC-SYD? Should I prefer a window seat on the left or right side? (Allocated seat is 48A at the moment - seatguru doesn't tell me more! OK??)

Greetings from Germany! I really appreciate your posts!

And BTW: I'm always happy about hints of my wrong english,.
In my experience it all depends upon wind direction at both airports. If it is a southerly wind, at Chirstchurch you get to see the city, in Sydney you will fly right past the city, see the harbour with the Bridge and Opera House, from the left side (your seat). Take photos!
If it is a northerly wind Christchurch is on the right and in Sydney you will not see the cityor harbour as the airport is on the south side of the city but you will see the Royal National Park and its cliffs and the Kurnell Penninsula from the left side.
Enjoy your time in NZ and Australia both wonderful countries. ^
