Well, most likely your elite status did play a role in getting you the Customer Service Bonus. But again, there really appears to be no set pattern as to who gets the bonuses -- it certainly isn't based strictly on elite status, given past reports. There also appears to be no set pattern as to what kind of delay / disruption qualifies for the bonus. There also appears to be no set pattern as to how much. YMMV.
