Well I did write a letter to customer care a few weeks ago regarding the fact that due to the cancellation of the ATL to CVG afternoon flight we were going to have a 6 hour layover in CVG. The response I rec'd was very standard ,that I did have the highest prority on the waitlist, etc.
Today out of the clear blue, Mike M from the CVG office called to tell me that due to the schedule change DL was going to let us take the nonstop from ATL to AMS!!! So we avoid a flight to CVG, a 6 hour layover and since get to AMS nonstop and 2 hours earlier!!
It's customer service like this that encourages me to keep my Platinum status and loyalty to Delta.
