There probably is some bad stuff somewhere here, considering the Pakistan-money angle. But. Is it possible that this "plot" might turn out to be 99% a bunch of teenage male fanatics with wild delusions of jihad chatting by email?
Maybe this is really really simplistic but ... couldn't they have put these "plotters" on a no-fly list, or otherwise flag their attempt at a "test run"? I would think they'd have gotten the message then that their "test" had failed?
