There is quite a distance between our positions at the doors of the aircraft and people in the furthest point in the cabin, not to include partitions/bulkheads and possibly surrounding noise. Also when faced with an emergency situation people (you and me) can freeze. That's why we are trained to shout loud, clear positive commands.
