Pardon my French, but this rationale is B.S. If they want to provide the same service as AS, they need an F cabin, a larger airplane (ie not a cramped CRJ) and they also need to start charging for alcohol. I see none of these things happening. It doesn't matter if AS and QX serve the same rice crackers or not, QX and AS products are still nowhere near "harmonized." If QX is trying to cut costs, then just say QX is trying to cut costs and leave it at that.
