it is hands down definitely better than any seat in e- just not as good as 9c. i'm 6' 1" and have done 9a tho it took a bit of juggling of my feet due to the slide (the same applies to 9f as well) and as ButIsItArt notes, 9a (and 9f) can get cold so grab that blankie. again, my preference is 9c but i will do 9a as a second choice
