Not a whole lot you can do about it, unfortunately. Apollo is apparently collecting the wrong fuel surcharge. Sabre (the system I use) does it occasionally, too. You're not going to get an agent at United who can check to see if the surcharge is correct. You could try making an entirely new booking and seeing if the fare is the same. Then exchange the original ticket for the lower fare with a refund.

I take back what I said. Sabre is doing the same thing. Not sure why. AFAIK, it's only supposed to collect the fuel surcharge for the trans-Pacific sectors, but it looks like it's collecting them twice, maybe three times. I know there's an additional surcharge for YVR, but it's not $400! When I put it back into C class, the fuel surcharge drops back to $250 like it's supposed to.

There must be a rule I'm not aware of for first class.
