Ok, if your wife is doing a post doc in Brisbane she MAY be entitled to student travel... try STA on your local Uni campus they sometimes have good deals for long term flights. Also Flight Centre sometimes have good deals. Her best bet would be to talk to the place where she is doing her post doc, and see if they cant organise something for her... where is she placed? (used to live in Brisbane and know most of hte Unis)
