I stayed on August 10th. Here are some photos.

I would say that the rooms are much nicer, but the breakfast is a downgrade from the Amerisuites. Only three fruit items, yogurt, white bread and bagels. The Amerisuites had eggs, make your own waffles, several different pastries as well. You could order items off the menu and they were reasonably priced.

There are no ice machines on the 6th floor, and we also couldn't get a wifi signal in our room. The exterior doesn't look like the photos on the site at all, but the interior matches. While it looks nice in the photos, there are places where you can see that they cut some corners. The elevators, had some graffiti scratches in the steel around the buttons, but that might be more an indication of the clientele than the hotel. The wallpaper wasn't trimmed very cleanly on around some of the doors in the hallways. The portico bath soap was much smaller than the ones used at full service Hyatts.

Overall minor gripes. I enjoyed the huge 42" TV and the HD programming, like Discovery HD. I was expecting them to equip the rooms with HD tvs, but didn't expect them to spring for the extra HD channels.

The Grand Bed was better than the usual Amerisuites crap mattress, but didn't feel as comfortable as other Hyatt's I've been to for some reason. I'm guessing that this might be a lower cost version.
