As another point on your list, I'd avoid asking, in the immediate aftermath of a major environmental disaster, where hundreds of thousands of people are dead or missing, and people on the board are trying to contact missing loved ones in the region, not knowing if they are alive or dead, if the airlines will do a fare sale as a result of the said environmental disaster. Although that does appear to have been a youthful indiscretion, and the OP does seem to have learned since then

But don't chose a name which indicates you travel in one class, and then several years later annouce you are taking your first flight in that class

We of high post counts tend to notice and remember such events....
Macspreader is also completely correct about the context in which this was asked, but also the current content, which has altered somewhat. I predict a lot more board grumpiness as people keep on starting individual threads, as their own particular situation is clearly too important to be added into an ongoing thread on the same subject
