I have an idea. The governments could allow airlines to choose to implement the precautions or not. Then individuals can pick their airline by the inconvenience they are willing to endure for additional safety precautions. One stipulation would be necessary. There would be no government compensation or assistance for airlines which incur losses due to terrorist actions. It would require different security lines for each airline, but I could live with that. What do you think?
