Angry $220 fees for ORF-HKG Y Award
Sorry in advance if this issue is not entirely related to UA...

Before BWIA being a UA FF partner, I accumulated 62000 miles with them over the years flying b/t Miami-Trinidad-London. I recently decided to empty my BWee acct by booking a Y award (60K) for my brother-in-law from ORF-HKG. After telling me that there is availability, the agent told me that I have to pay $220US for taxes and fees. I have no idea how they came up with that sum. The trip only has one stop in ORD. Anyone knows if this is for real? When I take out awards on UA, it's usually around $40. Help!
