Why has AC not made any comment about what 'they' intend on doing for PAX in the face of the new security restrictions.
Why hasn't AC told the public that because of these new restrictions, there will be additional water and beverage services for all PAX and that PAX can expect full co-operation from the FA's on recieving reasonable assistance in the event of hardships experienced by PAX because of these new rules.
I would have thought that AC would have been more pro-active in comming out of the gate in making sure that these rules will impact PAX only in the most minimal of ways!
After all, we all have to share in the burden and inconvience that these changes have caused, don't we?
Please give AC a chance to absorb what has happened. The rules are changing minute by minute. For example I landed in London at 8:15 Thursday morning. It was chaotic to say the least. We found out about this whole situation on descent. No flights were leaving the gates and we were told to expect delays in the hours before even getting a gate. We were fortunate because AC was proactive and did better than anyone else at getting our flights out. The passengers were great and understood. AC ground personnel did a fabulous job.At the hotel I received 5 changes in procedure by fax in my room in 24 hours. When we went through security all rules were changing as well for us. They took my toothpaste among other things. When we started the flight we could not sell duty free. Part way through the flight we got a message that duty free was on again but passengers were advised they still could not take liquid carryon if they were connecting. I witnessed a very proactive responce from AC and once again thank our passengers for being so patient and understanding...
