FWIW, last time I flew US Air out of PHL, we took off an hour after scheduled arrival in YYZ, first a jetway trapped the crew on a different plane, and then someone didn't check travel docs at checkin, so we had to offload someone's bags. I think we still beat the AC flight though, since that was a growing delay from the time we landed from MSY until we finally left.
