But again I ask: Why is it that the TSA can update their website with every OTHER new restriction, leave this one off, Chertoff rattles off 50 things you can't bring on board for somehow forgets that shoe removal is now mandatory and nothing on the website that is clearly being tended to in real time mentions this?

The place is out of control. $5 billion a year guarding us from shoes and bottled water. I am a dyed in the wool Republican through and through but this is enough to make me not only vote for but CAMPAIGN for the Democrat next time around. I don't really think anything else but a sea change in DC can save us from this incompetent bunch of rubes which is clearly above the law.

I did my homework. I checked the policy. I acted on good, current information that as I write this 40 minutes later is STILL current. And I'll bet a week's pay that a week from now the TSA web site will still say this and the gestapo at ORD will still be making things up as they go along.

Good lord, what goes on in the TSA breakroom?? Do they sit there and make up new policies to try out when their break is done?

"Deed you see that guy with camera and not want to take off shoes? I got him good!"

"Hey, Tom, let's tell everyone that they have to take the batteries out of their cell phones when we get on break! What a riot that will be!"

I am reserving further judgement until one of our esteemed TSA insiders can provide an explanation for this.
