Stereotyping is not racism, it is good, efficient policing. Until the Muslim communities in the west clean up their own houses, they will have to bear the suspicions on a day-to-day basis. We in the west continually refuse to face reality and suffer occordingly. These are the very weaknesses these IslamoFascists exploit. We are too just, too fair, too naive.
Reality: Racist profiling is not only mostly ineffective, it's also routinely counterproductive. Communal guilt & punishment serves no useful purpose, neither for justice nor for counterterrorism.

If such measures come to Canada, it will not be a good thing and will do nothing positive for security. That said, the current aviation security changes are knee-jerk ones.
