Unacceptable. They should have a crisis communications plan and their PR folks should be on-call 24/7 to wordsmith together announcements in a timely manner. Today was a day when that plan should have gone into effect.
Even small operations like EOS got their statements up hours before US.
Just like safetymom said, I'm not surprised though.
