My partner stayed at a La Quinta near MSP a few weeks back (all Hilton-affiliated properties within 50 miles of Minneapolis were sold out due to a high school volleyball convention). From how she described it, it's not much better than a Motel 6. Mattresses felt like there were filled with straw. Front desk staff were nice but overworked/understaffed. As for the roomcleaners, "if looks could kill...." She noticed that 3 guests who checked in when she did had been walked from the Hyatt......
