What a mess this will cause. Can you imagine the bottleneck on the jetways as people deplane. They will all be waiting for their planeside checked items. Also, as passengers board there will be no room to walk onto the plane as items are "pink tagged" as one boards.

There has to be a better way. Hopefully the TSA won't be arbitrary and just say "tough, take nothing with you". Will air marshalls be under the same rule? If not it will be very easy to spot them since they would be the only pax with a carry on in the cabin. Also, will the crew be allowed to have their rollerboards in the cabin? If so, why? If their rollerboard can be checked well enough to say "ok" then why can't mine?

I see this being a much bigger mess in the futuer than even today is showing. The TSA is very arbitrary.
