Obviously they cannot ban passengers from bringing liquids on board without providing beverages in flight. I'd think amenity kits provided by the carrier would be OK, though it all remains to be seen right now.

It will hurt not to be allowed to carry ones laptop on board, as some people do try to get work done on board (and other try to watch movies, etc.) as well as worrying about the safety/security of a checked laptop. People are annoyed about not being able to have their iPods in flight! What will happen to in flight internet service?

It could be quite crippling to have to check a cell phone and then not have ready access as you land to contact people about your arrival, not to mention what if the bag is lost?

I understand carry on bags are banned, but will it be like planeside checked baggage where it is taken from you as you board and given as you step off?
