Security fallout: Will the Airlines discontinue amenity kits?

I am predicting that Airlines will discontinue (and thus save money) on amenity kits for overseas travel due to the recent security changes that ban all liquid and gels. Maybe all those amenity kits that I have kept over the years will actually be worth something now because of, what I see as, the demise of amenity kits.

Post script:
I will be REALLY ticked off if I can't take toothpaste in my carryon but I am allowed to overpay for a tube at an airport sundries shop on the other side of security. I will be LIVID if airport shops are allowed to exploit (FOR PROFIT) this latest security issue. Will they be allowed to sell water? Will airlines be allowed to hand out botttles of water in flight? Will airlines be able to SELL bottles of water in flight?
