Is this a vacation or a business trip? If it's a vacation, I am really wondering why you would go to India and spend your whole time there in Mumbai (a day or two is plenty for sightseeing in this very businesslike city).

If you're on business, that's a different story. I hope your work will be in the southern part of the city, near the Hilton Towers, because Mumbai is an enormous city with stunning amounts of traffic. If you are working uptown--anywhere north of Worli--you should stay at a hotel close to your office.
