Well, flying from LCY this morning was certainly... interesting.

Quite frankly I can't see it lasting. Airlines can't cope. Foreign airports can't cope. Our F50 ran out of hold space with all the extra checked baggage, and disembarkation at AMS was delayed by about 20 minutes while they were trying to work out what to do with all the plastic bags, lady's handbags etc - eventually they just unloaded all small items onto the tarmac for people to pick up (much to the relief of the many transfer passengers)

And just to show what short memories some people have... some "aviation expert" on TV this morning was claiming that this was the first time ever the UK had seen a ban on hand baggage. I clearly remember the same happening in September 2001...
