Has anyone else had holiday plans interrupted by such nonsence as... work

PS - Had to choose the best airline on earth for the trip - AY of course. And looking forward to trying their new (almost) flatbeds. That's some comfort.
See, now the Russian mafia own you

I have never been called back from holiday, although I am frequently interrupted by phone calls (or voicemails) and my response/authorisation is needed on a few emails.

However, it is kept to a minimum, and for me on a two week break, wouldn't need to take more than a few calls or respond to a couple of emails. On the odd occasion I've had to attend audio conferences, I've been sure it's made worth my while !
