Cingular emailed the unlock codes for my Blackberry after I called. You apparently have to have had the account WITH THEM for a period of time. Other than that, it's 3rd party.

My guess and experience is that the codes are model dependent and identical for each model. The first code they emailed didn't work, then we supplied the correct Blackberry model #, 7290, and the new emailed code worked perfectly on both of our phones.

I'm not sure I'd disagree with ScottC, ever , but many eBay sellers are selling cheap and jacking the shipping costs to save the eBay and PayPal commissions. (i.e., your $20 item with $5 shipping is now a $2 item with $23 shipping.)
